Converting detached bungalow in to two?

G

gcltd

Hi, Has any one got experience of this sort of thing? We have a det bungalow with good space all round, we plan to convert to two smaller semi's, one for us, another for parents.

Just sent off the questionaire supplied by the council briefly stating the plans, they will review and give advice if possible and where to start.

I doubt this will be straight forward, if possible at all but just wondered if anyone has knowledge/experience of this and any advise/tips.

Thanks

hi ive done a few new builds and conversions not in your area im from London, your best bet is get a good architect behind you draw up what you are proposing,

A absolute must arrange a pre planning advice it may cost you but in the long run it fast and cheaper to get ot done correctly 1st time round and shows the council that you value there input and guidelines, this meeting will be documented with full report, it will give you a very strong indication of whether your proposal will be approved, and whats amendments may be necessary to get the plans approved, there is always way around any concerns drop me a pm im happy to help ive thought about what you are doing many times but never really found a suitable project.

Cheers Lax

You'll be in touch with the Land Registry to create 2 plots from 1 then. A good conveyancing lawyer can help.
