Pretty horrible topic so apologies in advance.

we have a toilet that is a fairly recent design bought from one of the sheds as a 'toilet to go' or a 'bog in the box' as i like to say.

well the problem is that the poo hits the back or the sides first and always leaves smears or worse.

It's a pain in the arse quite literally.

I know it must be the poor design but i don't know what to look for when i am buying a new one?

they all look the same to me.

can anyone advise either what to look for, or a good brand toilet please as i don't want to make the same mistake twice.

thanks

Sounds more like poor rectal design or poor positioning on seat.
If it was poor bog design then surely it would be hitting the same 'wrong' spot every time, not "the back or the sides first".

Armitage, Ideal, Twyfords, Lecico, Roca, I've sold the lot. All reputable brands.

I think my rectal design is fine thankyou :)

it seems to work in all the other toilets I use.

Well , there`s enough posturing on this forum with the gasfitters  But this thread is both amusing and enlightening - .

you might try adjusting the seat forward, or trying a diferent seat.

ah quite a sensible idea methinks :)

i will have a look and see if it can move forward.

But basically what you are all saying is that my idea of the shape of the bowl being badly designed is not right - so if that is the case yes i must think again.

Had a very confusing moment in a Japanese train station once. Which way to squat? How long do I have to think? Dodgy bit of sea urchin was demanding its freedom....

Ended up facing the wrong way and not being able to get up...

Never touching Sea Urchin (Uni) again.

Does said problematic pan have the outlet at the front of the bowl? Have seen a pan of this design, it contains a nice 'shelf' towards the back, perfect for the number 2 to land on. Then the flush isn't powerful enough to remove the offending article and leave the pan sparkling.....

Dan, you've got such a way with words....

I paraphrase Cap'n Kirk, There's Klingons on the starboard bow,
