Why oh why did they stop putting original lucozade in the glass bottles?
If its for cost , just charge more! Was in Ireland recently andthe pubs still sell it in the glass bottles, tastes much better, just like the good old days!

You can still get Coke in glass bottles.

Lucozade was changed to plastic bottles during an advertising campaign to move it away from an illness drink to more of a energy drink.
The slogan "Lucozade aids recovery" was replaced by "Lucozade replaces lost energy

The glass bottles can still be purchased from wholesale cash and carry's.

I see loads of bottles filled with Lucozade by the side of the road.

Trouble is...................it doesn't taste like lucozade.

We used to love the yellow cellophane wrapper when we were kids.

I agree, sometime drinks in glass bottles really do taste a lot better than those in plastic ones, i reckon the flavor is preserved much better than plastic counterparts.

Coca cola was mostly in glass bottles before, but now i can barely see those iconic glass bottles sold in stores, only cans and plastic bottles.

Coke definately tastes better out of a glass bottle.

Coke is defo better out of a glass bottle, we have even done a blind taste test to prove it!

Plastic does 'eventually' leach chemicals into what ever it is containing. Now some of you are probably aware that during the war the yanks used to degrease engine parts using coke. If it shifts grease/oil what can it do to plastic? More importantly what can it do to your stomach lining?
PS Glass is best!!!

Coca Cola went downhill the day they took the coca out of it and you'd be hard pressed to find a bottle that still has the cola these days. :( :( :(

Lucozade out of a can tastes totally different, how can two products that are made by same manufacturer, called the same name, taste so utterly different.

For the best tasting drink, open, leave to air for a min, decant into an ice filled glass, leave for another minute.....then enjoy!
Bring back glass i say!
