tight tap

I took the cap off this and unscrewed it but on the inside there doesn;t seem to be anywhere to loosen the blue cog.
Any ideas?

If your trying to remove the cartridge you need to undo the black part the hex shape not the blue part that just open/closes the cartridge.

Just trying to loosen the tap, not remove the whole cartridge I think...

Still easier with the cartridge removed.
These cartridges are all plastic and not much can be done with them.

Don't I need to isolate it to do that?
And once the cartridge is removed, what do I have to loosen?

Just trying to loosen the tap, not remove the whole cartridge I think...

If you are trying to loosen the whole tap you need to be under the sink, not above it.

No trying to loosen the tap, just the handle that turns on hot or cold.
