Yup, or if one wanted several one could rotate a single-row PDU through 90° and fix it to the wall. But not being made to be mounted that way the outlets would probably need retaining clips retrofitted, assuming they were held on by screws, and not riveted or push-fit.could one be made using a box and a panel mount socket
It's all a bit of a fag, and it wouldn't look good.If you've got a few to do, then what about fixing some trunking to the wall with panel mount sockets mounted into the bottom of the trunking?
Would there be an issue with the plugs falling out under their own weight in that orientation though?
...or, if the situation and aesthetics allow, have the plugs pointing vertically upwards rather than downwards.... if straight plugs are vertical under the socket then as mentioned retaining clips would be necessary
