Morning all,

ive just brought my first home and im busy with lots of little things, one being a coax wall socket.

am i best to fit a flush socket or a surface mount?

which is best and what are things to be aware of/

many thanks,

Dan

Flush is generally better looking, what kind of wall is it and how are you planning to route the cable to the socket?

its an outside wall with plaster board. the cable has been brought in through the wall into the room and is currently a cable trailing around.

It's upto you then, you can draw round a flush metal back box and hack a bit of plaster out (if you do it carefully there should be no patching up to do) or simply screw in a surface box.
