We are thinking the same. Def good reviews on the net. Choosing the right one / company is the thing!

Just had a quote from a company for supply and fit of a Sovereign Concure 20/20 £1050!

Yea, keep dreaming!

It looks a good unit as it also supplies warm air in winter when the temp drops but they are having a laugh.

Anyone recommend a lofty that also heats up the colder air in winter? One above is expensive

I have just looked at thr Sovereign Concure 20/20 it looks a very cheap unit/website and is overpriced by the looks of it, I am having my unit supplied by envirovent in a few weeks I am also having a cyclone vent installed in the bathroom, all for 1k maybe worth considering I have also looked at in the past remcon but again looks cheap and there is not much about it on the net

Hi Pownstar69. I have had a quote today from Envirovent to have A 'Mr Venty' ECO2 fitted in the loft and a Cyclone extractor fan in the kitchen for £1510 fitted. Are you saying that you have been quoted just £1K for the same products. Many thanks Del

That is a massive con of a price!!!!!!!!

Thanks Koolpc - that is what I thought, but I would be interested to know if Pownstar69 has been quoted £500 less for the same products.

Looking for a unit myself now that i will install myself

Hi del I'm having a cyclone sensor installed in the bathroom so it automatically detects water and pushs it out of the building the loft one is the eco2 the £1050 quoted includes full installation of the loft unit and the bathroom unit which includes the diamond cutter for the bathroom as its tiled and all hooked upto the electrics, he even said if the fan needed adjusting they would do that free of charge, it sounds like the same items just different prices! Well the unit is getting installed tomorrow so ill let you know what happens, just hope it works as they say we are in for a big freeze starting from Saturday, upside is they say money back guarentee if it don't work

Hi Pownstar69 and a Happy New Year. Could you tell me, is your quote directly from the Envirovent rep and I take it that it includes the deadly VAT? In other words it is Envirovent who have quoted you for the supply and installation of their products? I am just a bit confused regarding the diamond cutter core drill and why they/you have mentioned this as a seperate item (ie. if they need to drill a hole through a wall, then if they quoted you for the job it would appear not to matter to you how they accomplished the hole?!) Thanks for your help Del

Hi del, happy new year to you also. The quote I received was directly from an envirovent rep, I was just giving you a breakdown of what work was involved so you could see maybe why your quote was so different. The quote did included the god dam awful VAT.
Well just to let you know I have had the system installed for just over 48 hours and what a massive difference already. It's still not got rid of it all (condensation) but I was told to wait at least a week for it to stabilise the environment in the house. [/i][/b]

Hi Pownstar69
Thanks for the update - here's hoping that it is 100% successful.
I have been in touch with my local Envirovent rep (the one which quoted me £1510 for a Cyclone extractor and an ECO2 in the loft) and he is taken aback by your quote saying things like "Are you sure that this is not for supply only?" (ie. not a 'fitted' price) and "Does he know someone in the company who has given him a 'deal'?", because Envirovent do not encourage discounting and he says that the prices should be the same in Yorkshire and where I live in Essex. The actual difference in quotes is £460.80! and I do not think that he is going to lower his price by that much! It would appear therefore that you got a very good deal - Well Done! Del

Hi del that was the price he quoted straight away we tried for a discount but we was told no, to be honest we was that desperate to solve the mould we wasn't bothered seems strange they want £400 more if you want I could dig out the paperwork and see if there is a reference number you could quote them, we'll it only gets better snowing today minus 2 last night and all visa le traces of condensation gone just waitin for the mould to dry up so I can put bleach on it

Gary

Hi Gary
Good to hear your condensation news - its great that it works!
I feel guilty about bothering you about your quote/price etc when its my problem to sort out and fortunately you are already 'sorted'!

If however you do have the time then perhaps you could give me some more details. I note that you are in Yorkshire and that is where Envirovent's head office is. I wonder whether your survey/quote was from an area rep or perhaps directly from their head office. Also my Envirovent rep said that their company did lots of business with the NAL (National Association of Landlords) who could negotiate discounts and that perhaps you (Gary) were a landlord and had got a discount that way.

Obviously I do not want to 'muddy the water' for you, but I would be interested in speaking to your Envirovent bloke to get his opinion on the subject!
Any help that you can give this senior citizen appreciated!
Many thanks
Regards
Del
