Can someone on here put me right with this house as to whether it is a solid wall or not.

Some of you know I am surveying lofts and have now started to include cavity wall insulation.

We have to drill into the mortar to establish whether there is a cavity but the house in the pic is baffling me.

It looks 1930s plus and has air vents but the bond is flemish bond.

I am thinking that there would not be any air vents in solid brick walls.

Your thoughts please

Can be difficult to tell if it's solid or cavity with some walls.
There are solid walls built in stretcher bond and cavity walls built with mock flemish. Even measuring the jambs can somtimes give the wrong answer if the plaster is really thick, or the bricks are larger than normal and the external is rendered.
