to answer the question in the subject, yes, here we strongly believe BAXI boilers are boilers from hell that will not keep your house warm or give you hot water.
a brand new baxi boiler was installed a couple of years ago in our renting housing association house (nothing was wrong with the old boiler we had, which wasn't a baxi)
from the day this boiler was installed, we experienced nothing but trouble. we have all been ill and left feeling poorly at many occasions. my son under 5 has missed days of school because of being ill. moving from one warm room to a cold room does make you ill. our son always complains about the house being cold but we do our best with what we have. we cannot afford to keep all the rooms in the house warm.
it's our 2nd winter with this crap baxi boiler. we have contacted the housing association maintenance team over 20 times regarding this boiler and straight after a repair the boiler breaks down again with the same fault e133. because it's been over 2 yrs now, the H.A said we have to contact baxi directly when the boiler breaks down. last week we had an 'engineer' over to 'fix' the boiler and a few hours later it was back to e133. remember how cold it was last week and the week before??? and before that we had no hot water or heating for 7 days. if we get lucky, the boiler will work for 2 weeks without breaking down, sadly we do not get that kind of luck. we are not people to complain easily but for over 2 yrs we have kept our mouth shut and been taking this crap.
i have just contacted the bbc watchdog regarding this and i hope many people with the same problem will do the same.
on top of that we have to top up £10 electricity every 2 to 4 days depending on how cold it is to keep the whole 3-bedroom house warm using the portable heaters the housing association gave us.
we have asked for this crap to be replaced but they won't do it because they say it is a new boiler. parts have been replaced on it god knows how many times.
im looking around and asking advise to take these people to court for carelessness or something like that.
we have strong evidence such as missing days of school, extra electricity top ups, meds bills and lots of burns from transporting pans of hot water from the kitchen downstairs to the bathroom upstairs to take half decent baths.
we are living in hell just because we have a baxi boiler.
i would never recommend baxi to anyone, especially families with children.
i hope you can understand from our experience why here we believe baxi boilers are boilers from hell.
as i speak we have been without heat and hot water for 4 days now.
