to answer the question in the subject, yes, here we strongly believe BAXI boilers are boilers from hell that will not keep your house warm or give you hot water.
a brand new baxi boiler was installed a couple of years ago in our renting housing association house (nothing was wrong with the old boiler we had, which wasn't a baxi)
from the day this boiler was installed, we experienced nothing but trouble. we have all been ill and left feeling poorly at many occasions. my son under 5 has missed days of school because of being ill. moving from one warm room to a cold room does make you ill. our son always complains about the house being cold but we do our best with what we have. we cannot afford to keep all the rooms in the house warm.
it's our 2nd winter with this crap baxi boiler. we have contacted the housing association maintenance team over 20 times regarding this boiler and straight after a repair the boiler breaks down again with the same fault e133. because it's been over 2 yrs now, the H.A said we have to contact baxi directly when the boiler breaks down. last week we had an 'engineer' over to 'fix' the boiler and a few hours later it was back to e133. remember how cold it was last week and the week before??? and before that we had no hot water or heating for 7 days. if we get lucky, the boiler will work for 2 weeks without breaking down, sadly we do not get that kind of luck. we are not people to complain easily but for over 2 yrs we have kept our mouth shut and been taking this crap.
i have just contacted the bbc watchdog regarding this and i hope many people with the same problem will do the same.
on top of that we have to top up £10 electricity every 2 to 4 days depending on how cold it is to keep the whole 3-bedroom house warm using the portable heaters the housing association gave us.
we have asked for this crap to be replaced but they won't do it because they say it is a new boiler. parts have been replaced on it god knows how many times.
im looking around and asking advise to take these people to court for carelessness or something like that.
we have strong evidence such as missing days of school, extra electricity top ups, meds bills and lots of burns from transporting pans of hot water from the kitchen downstairs to the bathroom upstairs to take half decent baths.
we are living in hell just because we have a baxi boiler.
i would never recommend baxi to anyone, especially families with children.

i hope you can understand from our experience why here we believe baxi boilers are boilers from hell.
as i speak we have been without heat and hot water for 4 days now.

Easy tiger, wouldnt go blaming the boiler BAXI, they are not the best but far from what you are claiming, first look at the power of the boiler then the size of you home, then look at the installers and people who have maintained it and repaired it but boilers from hell they are not.

I think there might be better uses of time and money than trying to take a boiler manufacturer to court under these circumstances.

Most of us have to buy our houses and boilers, you don't yet you are whining? FFS. Join the real world and BUY your own.

Baxi boilers of old were amongst the best in the world but yes sadly their new appliances are not the best but they are still a decent company and i cant beleive that they would allow a situation like this to happen as they have a decent service team , I think your housing agency is letting you down more than Baxi is to be honest

i am speaking from experience here, not whining @ ianmcd. i am sure if you guys were in my shoe you'd be using all sort of swearing words to describe how you feel about this situation that has been going on for over 2 yrs. it's not your child missing school days or getting ill or going to the doctor for consultation over this. i have kept calm for over 2 years, how long would you have kept calm? someone is to be blamed, i didn't install the boiler and i dont call myself a boiler engineer claiming to fix the problem for it to come back a few hours later. does it make sense to you that this boiler has broken down from the day it was installed and had 'engineers' coming every 2 - 3 days or every 2 weeks to fix it?
i dont intend to stay in a H.A for long, cut me some slack here i have been in this country for a few years only and i'm not doing bad at all.
i undertand most of you had to buy your house and boilers, i'll get there too in due time. i'm no drug dealer or thief to be making loads of money in just a few years then buy a house in a foreign country.
i havent even shared the kind of customer service i get from these guys, i better not....... i dont want to upset you more.

Idiot's posted in the GD forum as well. Perhaps looking for some sympathy there.

idiot??? well, you know what they say about 'it takes one to know one', right?
since when expressing yourself makes you an idiot? in that case you are one too and don't even deny it.

I assure you that you have not upset me I merely pointed out that I have been a heating engineer for a very long time and I have always found Baxi a decent company to deal with and that your experience is not what I have experienced with them, and as previously stated I feel that the problem lies with your housing association rather than with Baxi but if you feel that Baxi have let you down then why not call them direct instead of slagging them off on here ?

Baxi boilers are not bad at all. Get over it.

i have experienced 2 different boilers. one was superb the other one is.... well, you already know what i think about the other one.

Seeing how you guys respond to my situation i am 100000% positive that if it were you, you'd be saying all sort of obscene words i wouldn't even start to undersdtand.

@ianmcd, tell me, would you be kissing their feet if they were doing it to you and your family??? who are you to tell me not to be human?
after each 'repair' i do say thank you. guess how many thanks you they got from us in 2 yrs. you do the math

Has it had a new PCB fit. That usually sorts the e133 fault.

i am not too sure to be honest. 2 weeks ago they changed the electrode something, not too good with boiler terminology but it was a metal that is about 9 centimetres long with a loop at one end?

PCB= (printed circuit Board, like a motherboard on a computer).

If its not been replaced yet, it needs to be. IMHO
