Anyone still awake and care about sport?

The Lions this morning (wow what a game!)..

Chris Froome...? (don't like the teamy thing of the TDF, but what an athlete!)

Andy Murray tomorrow....

And then the Ashes starting Wednesday...

British sport is in a strong place !

Will ignore the fact that that the cricket team is full of South Africans, The Lions are also stacked up with non-British players and Chris Froome was born in Kenya.

So left with Andy Murray really!
Yep British sport in fine fettle!

And then the Ashes starting Wednesday...

Got tickets for all five days and three mates from uni days coming along. Going to be a scorcher!

Have to remember it's the third pint that kills you - that's the one that makes you think you can still do ten.

One thing, if Andy Murray wins today, the press will be full of praise for a British man winning Wimbledon.. On the other hand, if he loses, then they'll be full of how some Scotsman failed to win the Wimbledon title.

Nah he'll always be a miserable, dour, sour faced, sweaty sock to us

Just as a matter of interest Jock -

Was it reported in Scotland when a Scotsman, the same one, won the Indy Racing League four times in the last six years and the Indianapolis 500 three times in the last seven?

Not a mention on the wonderful BBC Radio 5 - sports channel ?.

EFLI, the BBC has always been biased. Even now they still mention Henman Hill. (Henman never reached the final at Wimbledon, whereas last year Murray was the losing finalist) They should now rename it Murray Mountain/Mound.
Anyway, Murray's the first Scot to win at Wimbledon. (although the Beeb will say he's the first Brit for 77 yrs.) Well that's me off tae have a few pints o heavy and celebrate.

Now 77 years since an Englishman won wimbeldon

Dario gets very little credit, especially on the beeb. He gets coverage in some of the rags, and on STV though. Top sportsman.

A huge thank you to Murray and Djokovic, for keeping it down to 3 sets.. Honestly though why don't they put this sort of stuff on BBC3 or Beeb 4 instead of rescheduling programmes on BBC1, and no i am not being sportist or anything like that, same applies to F1, footy, etc.

Don't forget!

Cal Crutchlow, Scot Reading and Tom Sykes!!

Well Eddie, he may well be dour faced, but he's now on the verge of greatness.

I'm only joking one of my best mates is a born and bred gorbals scot, plus my sister is in exile there. Lovely country, no problem at all with it :D

Apart from the hoards of midges that swarm all over the place as soon as it stops raining, but as it hardly ever stops raining it's not that big a problem..
