I have Upvc French Doors opening into the house.
90% of the time only one door is used and the other remains locked.
The door commonly used has no problems the other that is locked most of the time, you have to lift it to open.
Found that the locking rod/bolt that protrudes on top and below the door when locked is the dead lock, but when door is unlocked the lower lock/bolt is still protruding under the door still in its locking plate and having to lift the door to open. The door used mostly has the dead rod/bolts top and bottom also the finger locks down the side to engage into the one having the problem.
Would there be any adjustment within the door mechanism to correct this.
