It seems to have a serious electrical fault.

It needs a CORGI registered person who is competent to find electrical faults to remove the firefront and inspect the boiler to see whats wrong.

We cannot possibly guess exactly whats wrong! Probably failed insulation on the wiring but as thats obvious its not going to help you any further.

CORGI reg to sort the electrics out my ass
Well you might have electrics in your ass but this chap will need a corgi to sort out the electrics in his fire, because he'll have to take the appliance apart to see what's in there, won't he.

I had one of these where the suppressor had blown apart and was causing a trip. I was at one a couple of weeks ago where the cables had melted also. I agree with Agile and Chris, RGI need to check it out.

The usual reason for five five ones blowing fuses as you describe is that the boiler has sooted up and the flames have came out bottom of boiler and burnt through the cable... Job for a corgi

Hi, ive just managed to solve an issue like this one, my boiler kept tripping the fuses, i replaced the pump, controller and the room stat plus all the wiring but found the fault to be the supply cable from the controller to the boiler burnt out by heat behind the gas valve, it wasnt apparent at first as it is covered by part of the casing. I found all 3 wires shorting out with each other! Could have saved a fortune in new parts when all i needed was 6ft of cable! hope this helps someone

Next time, try the old 'disconnecting each item, one at a time, out of the system and turning on with a new fuse, short-elimination trick'.

Still, at least you have some spares for the future. ;)
