The lads that did my roof have left the felting going from under the tiles directly into the gutter, I feel it could be soaking up water, as I had the lads round doing felting, soffits and facias because I have black mould around my ceilings and walls all round my bungalow I don't want a repeat this year,

That's where it should go.....enough ideally to allow any drips to land in the gutter, but not rolling round in the bottom!

Felt will not soak up water.
This is generally a result of too little ventilation, though we don't know as that wasn't your question.
it shouldnt soak water up but IMO it shouldnt be sat in the gutter because it will just grow moss etc. and clog the gutter. i avoid letting it sit in the gutter, it doesnt need to be that long
