Oh great

Called to a fault on a socket circuit.

First job was going to be to whip the ends out the board and IR test the circuit.

What IR readings did you get at the CU ? did you advise the customer it would be wise to sort out the mess within the CU ?

RF, did you turn it into one of your works of art (which I've tried to emulate) when you put it all back together?
 
If you hear buzzing coming from a bus bar, something is very wrong, and quite likely to become an awful lot more wrong.

Sadly not. It would have needed the board stripping right out and starting again.

I ended up fishing the wire ends out the back of the board with my long nose pliers.
 
Forgot to mention, this is an ex HA house, and was rewired in a day by five lads. It shows...
