odd waste pipe size ikea sink

thought id use a 38mm to 38mm push fit coupler to connect waste pipe from ikea sink to 38mm waste pipe ouside kitchen..although it fits , now the connection from sink to the coupler seems fine but is just slight too small, hence a leakage of water...is there a coupler that i could use..?..i was thinking of this from screwfix..

What you need is a universal waste coupling (not sure if its the right name). Just go into a Grahams plumbers merchants or similar and they will get you the right fitting if you explain the problem to them.

ta guys...dont think theres a grahams near me but will try local plumbers merchant...if not then it will have to be the screwfix one....seems a bit expensive for a bit of rubber with jubliee clips...lol

i did think of that , but its gonna be more or less in the wall and i thought if it starts leaking its gonna be very hard to get at so best make a solid connection in the first place..

In the wall - go with the screwfix one - easier install in that position

Just had the same issue. I begrudgingly used a rubber coupler to take us down from the odd IKEA.

Seems to be working though I'm not overly happy with it!

Generally with Ikea items, it's better not to buy in the first place.
Failing that, throw away any fixtures and fittings supplied and buy proper ones.

Notice the slight kink in the copper though due to the questionable quality. I was very careful. Do you thing this is a problem waiting?
