The quote that Coathanger brought up was taken completely out of context - not surprising as he loves to twist everything. The quote in question was about how one can insult one member of society and not another.

That's a fair comment, enyam. I don't suppose I could say that about many of your posts. Although to be fair, I don't peruse the other parts of the site the way I used to. Time is one reason, but also because there are more experinced qualified contributors to respond to queries.No wonder we don't understand each other, you're completely off your trolley.

The reason why I post on GD forum is because I think DIYnot does a great service to many DIYers. Sadly it is immensely let down by the continual racially abusive and prejudice behaviour on the GD forum.
Some of those racially abusive posters make no other contribution to the site, although I now class myself as one, who makes no other contribution. I would exonerate myself with the explanation that I am behaving altruistically.
I think that without that sort of prejudiced behaviour on GD forum, DIYnot could provide a better service to a wider community.
In addition, of course, it could be a beacon of how to provide a service without resorting to that kind of ignorant behaviour.
Plus, I suspect that there are many contributors, like me, who also don't like the prejudiced and short-sighted behaviour of some of the posts.
The experienced and skilled contributors on here may work "on a building site" but they don't take their behaviour home with them and they certainly wouldn't broadcast coarse or insulting attitudes in public.
Unfortunately, Joe, if he is the owner prefers to retain the prejudiced attitude rather than improve the site.

BTW, it should have been "you're", not "your" so you're demonstrating conclusively your ignorance.
But now that I've demonstrated what a potentially racist comment is, and how to apologise when one is made, will you be doing so?
I will assume that if you don't, your comment was intentionally racist.

b) If I don't peruse the forums I'm hardly likely to see any racially abusive comments.
c) As the other forums are responding to enquiries, there's hardly likely to be any racially prejudiced comments.
d) If any perverted posters were to make racially abusive comments on the other forums, I suspect that the enquirer would give the comment the derision it deserved. As yours probably did and turned a genuine enquirer right off DIYnot. Brilliant contirbution to the site, Notconscious.
