Wood worktop - Barncrest/Worktop Express - guess the quality

Hi

I was hoping for some expert advice

I'm buying an oak worktop and have narrowed it down to Barncrest or Worktop Express prime oak, but am confused as to which is better quality

They both obviously say they are amazing

The price difference is 100 so not huge

Is there a way of telling which is better quality? Barncrest is from the US and Worktop Express Europe. Does it make a difference?

I wouldnt buy a wood worktop, I'd buy laminate and thats coming from someone working in woodworking field for over 30 yrs. hygiene issues and maintainence issues being the main reasons...

maybe I'm wrong but thats the way I see timber kitchen worktops...

Timber has natural antibacterial properties, but yes, maintenance is unavoidable.

timber worktops are absolutely ideal for showrooms.

They are not so good in any room which contains water, taps, hot pans, wet mugs, cooking oil, teapots or spillages.
