With christmas only a few days away it's not an ideal time for my oven to break down especially when it's our turn for Christmas diner. I was cooking the other day when my oven made a Big Bang and knocked all electris off in my house. I stripped oven down has it had just come out of its two year warranty to find control pcb burnt out. I have replaced this along with new heating element. My oven is now working on upper and lower heating element as well as grill but I am getting no heat out of my centre element although this is brand new. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but that is hardly proof you are getting the correct voltage. Do you have a multimeter? You should get 230/240v ac across the element. Is there a jumper on the new pcb that has to be set for your model of cooker?
Hi sorry yeh I have now checked with a multimeter I am getting volatage to the new pcb but does not seem to be leaving it to the element. The new pcb does not have any dip switches either
So what voltage are you getting across the element for it to be getting warm? Have you checked the new element for continuity? Can you trace the wires from the oven element thermostat to the pcb, are you getting a supply from the stat to switch the pcb.
I have now found the problem the link on back of control switch was not making although the fan was coming on the switch was not sending signal to element I have linked the two cables out across the switch and got village to the element. Thanks very much for your help so will now try and fix the links if not order new control switch
