Ban on pork in Islington’s primary schools

It has EFFECTIVELY banned pork, by removing it from the catering contract and requiring special request to be made for it. Result is the same, it's not available to children who would normally have eaten it. Stick that in your pipe JohnD :)

machine guns are banned from UK sale, you can't legally buy one even if you want to.

Pork chops are not banned, and you CAN buy one if you want to.

If handjack had not deliberately written an untrue heading for this thread, he could have called it "Pork is not included on the Islington schools catering contract but is available on request"

But the truth wouldn't have caused so much excitement, would it?

You really are a first class idiot. The heading for the thread was as it was written for the original article by the newspaper, all I did was accurately reproduce it.

You knew that of course but have lied time after time saying I wrote it.

Do you now understand? If not, you have a serious problem, but I am sure you can get help.

Anyone know why the ROP need to have a larger than normal grave?

The Great British banger is off the menu for Islington children as pork has been banned in all the borough’s primary schools.

And handy wrote the heading "Ban on pork in Islington’s primary schools"

Even though it was untrue, and he knew it was untrue.

Lying again JohnD. I did not write that, that is the first line from the newspaper article.

Lying again Mr Twister, that is the heading copied from the newspaper.

Even though it was untrue, and he knew it was untrue.

At the time of posting that was the only article published, so how would I know if anything in the article was untrue.

   Do grow up lad and stop lying, people used to think you were a fool why did you have to go out of your way to prove it to them?

So a parent now has to phone the school in order that their child/children
can have pork for dinner that day?
Does anyone know how this works? Are they supposed to phone on a daily basis or do they order the pork dinner(s) for the week/month?

Make more sense for the Muslim children to wear a little badge on their jumpers saying 'Halal Only'...It's effectively a crafty ban..

Or just do without pork for a few hours. I'm sure the little cherubs will survive.

And if the ROP/Jewish little cherub eats pork he/she will also survive, and might even enjoy it.

You see thats what I don't understand with remarks like that. It totally demeans the children who choose to eat pork and rides roughshod over their very basic human right.

You wouldn't say that to a Muslim or Jewish person, so why Is It ok to say It to the others?

Do schools in Islington ban ALL food during ramadan?

Your memory is failing you, or perhaps you are lying deliberately.
Islington Council has said pork is not banned, and if schools want to serve it they just have to call up the town hall and they will make it happen
