Trying to set up an upstairs bedroom and have found an airiel cable (or thats what it looks like) that looks a bit strange. It clearly needs a connector and if anyone knows what it needs so that It can be plugged into a TV that would be a huge help.

Also, I would have expected the cable to be single, but as can be seen In the photo it is two cables.

Any help of how to make these useable would be great!

It's a Sky+ cable and they are f plugs.

You will need one of Rupert's magic boxes to use them.

So is there no way these cables can ever connect to a tv with built in free view somehow with any adapter?

These are probably very stupid questions but I'm not good with this sort of thing.

If there is a satellite dish on the other end, then you will need satellite technology at the TV end.

Ok great, so a cheap freesat box. Will I need to get a couple of connectors for the cables so they can be plugged into a box?

Those silver things on the end of the cable are the connectors.

BUT please check the other end of the cable has got a satellite dish on it!

If there is no satellite dish and only a TV aerial then these could be a feed from the TV aerial to go into an aerial booster and the other one the feed from the booster to television sockets around the house.
