Hi,
My new double oven has 2 Live, 3 Neutral & 1 Earth connection. The existing wires from the wall connection only have one of each. How do I connect the oven?

Inside the connection box you should find some brass links. They will need to be used to link out the live and neutral terminals in a particular way.
The way you link them will depend on the type of supply that you have.

It will be in the installation instructions, and sometimes inside the termination box.

Are you sure it is not 3 lives/2 neutrals?

Your oven has been designed to either deal with different numbers of phases, the electrical wiring instruction that come with the appliance should show how to wire yours to single phase.
Or there could be a diagram near the terminal box on the appliance.

The instructions only contain a wiring diagram, which I do not understand. See a copy attached.

I assume that you have a normal (230V) single phase supply to your house and kitchen?

If so, your cooker is already configured with the links in place for connection to a single phase supply.

You connect the live to the terminals marked L, the neutral to N and the earth to the earth terminal, using the cable that is specified by the maker in the instructions.

It cannot be more simple.
If you can't cope with this then you need to get an electrician to do it for you.

Hi TTC,
Thank you.
Yes, I presume the existing wiring is normal single phase.
Can I just confirm that I need to split the wiring from the mains to connect the live wire to BOTH live connections on the cooker, and the Neutral wire to ALL THREE neutral connections on the cooker. The earth is an obvious one.

If I do need to split each wire, is there an easy way of doing this?

As above, the links are already factory fitted, simple job of fitting correct cores to correct terminals.
That would depend on core colours
Brown or Red= Live
Blue or Black = Neutral
Yellow/Green or Green = Earth

I assume you have the correctly sized conductors and rated fuse for the appliance.
