Which Honeywell controls for 3-zone system

Hi all

Will be having a new indirect unvented system installed with split CH zone in the coming months, but currently getting house plastered and before it's done I wanted to run cable for programmer/thermostat etc

Can anyone tell me what bits I would need if I wanted the main controller wired and to have wireless thermostats for each central heating zone?

Unfortunately, it's not quite as easy as that. It varies from system to system depending upon the requirements of the various components used [For example, the make / model of Motorised valves / Programmer / Thermostats / Wiring Centre / FCU / Boiler] and also their relative locations to each other, as well as the personal preferences of the installer. Each installation is different. You would have to ask the person who is going to carry out the work to advise you.

It is usual for the installer to carry out a 'First Fix' and run the cables before the plastering is done and then come back and add the controls as a 'Second Fix' after the plastering is finished.

He has kind of left it with us as we are purchasing all parts etc, and happy to locate where we went. Boiler and tank will go in seperate room with wiring centre being positioned there, but the controls he has said to choose what we want. I had Honeywell st9400c in another house and was easy to use, so would like something similar

Looks very expensive.

Just had a brief look at honeywell's S-plan plus wiring diagram and think the below may work:

2 x CM927 or DT92E room thermostats
1 x ST9400c 7day programmer.

Would this work?

I've you've got the opertunity to run wires then do, wireless is a solution to a problem.
You can never have too many wires available future proof you have the wiring diagram so you know how many u need

The evo home is expensive yes but does a lot more than just turns your heating on. Depends what u want.

You have not told us anything about your boiler.

If its capable of using weather compensation then that's a big advantage but does need to be taken into consideration when wiring.

As suggested adding a few spare cores in the wiring is always useful in case of further requirements at ant time.

Hi

It will most likely be a Worcester Greenstar 27i System Boiler and a Telford cylinder.

Will this be ok?
