That may be your best plan, given one or two things with your existing setup; may need to get an electrician in for that bit;
Attached a better image of the CUs. I don't think its connected to any of the CUs. I *think* I remember once turning off the black and white CUs and the shower circuit was still powered until I flicked the RCD.I don't think so. I see meter tails going in to the top of the RCD box. So I am supposing that is the feed.
The 45A I believe is the feed for the 3-way Wylex.
Maybe the OP can confirm. Certainly something for his electrician to look at, while he is there.
Never mind the breakers, the white wylex board looks like it's about ready to fall off the wall.Are those breakers in the black CU seated properly?
Hard to tell - but where do they go? Do they perhaps go via the white Wylex to the Henlys?Are those tails coming out of the meter cloth covered?
I wouldn't have thought so - they certainly disappear behind the board, but none of the ones going to the Henleys appear to emerge from behind the board - unless that's what those two are which appear to be coming out of the bottom of the white Wylex (which would be a seemingly unnecessarily tortuous route from meter to Henleys). I guess we can only speculate!Don't they just go behind the meter board and to the blocks?
Ah, right - you mean they are re-emerging from behind the board around the top LH part of the meter?<an annotated picture>
Indeed - I also see them now!!Yes I see 2 wires there!
I think that 'mount' may be putting it a bit over-stronglyDon't ask me about the rest of the photo though, why anyone would mount a fuseboard like the 3 way one I don't know.
Quite!The shower wiring is interesting/concerning as well. And I hope there is a solid link in the neutral fuse too.
I missed this part. If that is correct then that is not a good thing. It would be a very good idea to have all of your wiring tested by an electrician, especially as there appear to be many defects identified from just 2 photos of the outside of your fuseboxes.I *think* I remember once turning off the black and white CUs and the shower circuit was still powered until I flicked the RCD.
