Hi

I will be installing a service/repair kit to the Diverter on a Halstead Ace High shortly. Seems pretty straight forward just checking anything I'm missing before I start:

Turn off power
Drain system (from rad)
Drain HW (turn off water, open HW tap)
remove diverter.

Anything I need to be aware of?
Thanks

Simple job, but don't get any water on that flaky pcb. Clean all surfaces and use new washers on all joints.
A smear of paste will help to remake joints successfully.

Hi, Is 'Paste' Lead Free Flux that I can find in Screwfix? I've been searching for silicone grease but can't find any locally, only on the internet and I need to do this today.

Any jointing paste will do, but NOT flux. You should be able to do a good job without using any. Sorry about the delayed answer, but been out.

Very possibly, that diagnosis came from the Dimplex (aka Halstead) Tech Support 0905 Helpline. My boiler man reckoned PCB but Dimplex are fairly sure it won't be, they reckon it's something hydraulic. Who knows? I sure as hell don't!
