I ain't just a plumber I'm gas safe and have been for over ten years now. It's just I fit boilers but don't really fix them if u know what I mean.
But if I changed the time clock do u think that would work. The job is about half an hour into the country and I don't won't to be going back and fore.

And the public think all Gas Safe card holders have the same skills, and their rates can be simply compared, a bit like the looking up the price of a Samsung TV on the internet.

What has being Gas safe reg to do with oil fired appliances ??

Are there no qualifications needed to install or service an oil fired boiler ? Oil safe?

Offtec but it's not a legal requirement in Scotland.

OFTEC. And it's not a legal requirement in the UK either.

Only gas appliances have a legal status regarding who can work on them and who can't.

But it helps if that individual you choose knows what he is doing. Competence and confidence cannot be beaten, but like with any professional, it costs.
