I guess its because he realises that the promises he made for leaving the EU are not viable.
He really didn't want to leave anyway.

He did not think in a million years that his campaign to leave would succeed, he just wanted the publicity,
now it has and he would have to invoke article 50 as PM to leave,
he "bottled it",

Johnson's gang accuse someone of being deceitful and underhand?

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Reckon Boris and Gove had a lovers tiff over what position Gove was going to get in the cabinet.

Would be interested to know how many voters in the referendum were influenced to vote to leave the EU by Boris.
Even more interesting to know how many on this forum were influenced by him.
Come on own up

I would think that most, like me, were influenced by the hope of leaving the EU. Tony Bliar could have taken the helm of Brexit & I still would vote leave.
I quite agree, many had their own ideas. But without doubt there were many, many floating voters that were persuaded by the deceit and misrepresentations by the Brexiteers, not to mention the empty promises.

Firstly, I would have been swayed by an amoeba if it had a chance of getting us out of a corrupt, failing, undemocratic EU. Secondly, I would automatically and instinctively vote the polar opposite of whatever that dreadful wee Jimmy Krankie/Sturgeon woman was supporting.

I would imagine that the remainiacs would be fickle enough to be swayed by personalities though.

How funny that he admits he's fickle enough to be swayed by personality of the Scottish woman

When I heard that Boris was going to join the Brexit campaign, I though he'd give it the kiss of death and they'd never 'win'. I quite liked Boris a while back, but only when he used to do HIGNFY and the like on telly, playing the buffoon. I was very surprised when outers won.

he's renowned for flannelling and vagueness, he turns on the buffoon when he wants to avoid serious discussion.

An ideal choice for the Outists.

Even oily Gove tried it "I think the country's had enough of experts" to bat away evidence against his lunatic claims.

Like a health minister who approves of homeopathy or necromancy, and wants to spend NHS money on it. Oh no, that was Hunt.
