Been looking for a complete loft ladder with hatch kit but I can only find timber ladders with hatch, I'm after aluminum ladders with hatch but cant seem to find any..are they available anywhere?

Yeah not seen ladders like them in my search, I'd av thought you could by a complete aluminium ladder with hatch kit but maybe have to buy separately
Fakro do a metal ladder hatch though not sure it’s aluminum. Why does it have to be a combined unit and aluminum?
Just thought it would be easier to fit, and possibly cheaper. don't suppose it has to be, but need new larger hatch as one that in is only small and need to be able to get large suitcases up there
Usually harder to fit , easier to get a hatch to fit your ceiling and a ladder to fit you situation, ceiling height, ladder type etc.
Alu loft ladders used to be widely available but I would imagine that some makes were pulled by the Mfr's after complaints about the noise they made - they are very noisy.
There were also issues of easily bent or misaligned parts, and one could get a false and dangerous impression that the ladder was "locked" when it wasn't.
But maybe what I'm saying is just my take on them.
