Loft hatch stairs for small space

Hi guys,
Im looking for a stable ladder to get up to the loft. Something like: http://www.loftcentre.co.uk/loft-la...ladders/dolle-mini-timber-folding-loft-ladder

The problem being that the hatch cant be bigger than 80x50cm. Ive had a look around and cant find any that will fit the size I want. The link above is for 87 x 60cm.

Any suggestions would be great.

A number of questions - can you explain why the size can't be increased, also can the ladder be of aluminium as opposed to timber, they tend to need less room.

Hi Pinenot
The hatch size cant be increased because of the beams/joists.
Im not fussed about whether its aluminium or wood - as long as its stable and feels secure and is easy to use.

You can simply cut out the required size in one ceiling tie/joist, bridle and infill it to any size you want you know...pinenot
