System boiler and UVC set up

Great. If anyone can get ten years on the ECO RF, it's a no-brainer! Will the 24 be powerful enough?

Larger cylinders don't appear to cost much more, so perhaps it's wise to just fit the largest cylinder i can get in the space under the boiler. Looking at the specs of the 170/200L Telford Tempest and Joule Cyclone, the Telfords seem to have slightly better dimensions, and are also slightly cheaper. But they do have slightly higher standing loss. Most of you are recommending the Joule Cyclone - is it better than the Telford?
The coil rating is the important bit......

In the spirit of disclosure I work for Intergas and one of the IG shareholders also has a stake in Joule but.......

Joule cylinders have an awesome fit and finish they match the boilers perfectly - in fact the Intergas direct labour team are doing warranty calls for Joule now!

A 24 kW boiler on hot water priority will almost certainly be enough.

If you're in North London you could do far worse than contacting Dan Robinson privately - assuming you don't want it fitting this week ;)

PS I told you on Ultimate Handyman that you didn't want a storage combi :p:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

HAHA :)

Yes, i'm in Harrow. Doing a full house renovation and contractor has the job of fitting the boiler too. But i insisted on supplying myself so i could choose the set up (as builders always seem to suggest a Megaflo)! Anyway, i'll put this set up to the contractor's plumber and see what he says.

In in the land of the little people until next week anyway....

No hot water issues here..... People have built their houses over volcanic steam vents..... Nutters...

Even cook directly off the stuff.

My tuppence worth
Son in Eastcote
Has underfloor heating ground floor, rads upstairs
Two bathrooms and a cloakroom suite
Son, wife and my angel who is 7 months old in residence
Ideal vogue 36 combi boiler with 10 year warranty for heating and hot water but now would consider Intergas
BUT
Plumbed ready for unvented cylinder to be latched up to the system
Now that is what I call forward planning
Evohome for control
All fitted by yours truly
No buses were used for travelling 400 miles between home and home:whistle:

OP, world is your oyster
If builder doing work, ensure gas line to boiler and other appliances is sized correctly

Thinking of jumping my utility, kitchen and cloakroom over to the combi side of my Eco RF 24, original pipe work takes a rather circuitous route to the cloakroom.

Does mean a bit more Tupperware in the wiring centre though.

I'm going to get the Intergas Eco RF 24 (as most of you suggest). However, my builder has asked me to get a magnetic central-heating filter, e.g. Magnaclean, and electrolytic scale inhibitor as well. Tho, when i reminded him i will have a separate (salt-based) water softener, he said the scale inhibitor may not be necessary after all.

What are your thoughts on these two extras?
