Hanging a not so heavy mirror on a plasterboard wall

Evening,

I'm looking to hang a mirror onto our bathroom wall. The wall is constructed of timbers, plasterboard and plaster. Whilst I'll try to find a timber I think the mirror is light enough to go onto the plasterboard if necessary.

The mirror is to be hung by its rope but I'd like to avoid an unsightly fixing being on show. I have seen pictures of similar mirrors with oversized wood effect fixings but cannot for the life of me find them online.

Any help to point me in the right direction would be great.

Thanks.

Dave

Apologies. Really should have added a pic. It is framed but as said not very heavy at all.

And this is the type of fixing I'm after.

Am I going to have to fabricate something like those above? How would I go about attaching the 'knob' to the actual fixing?

Thanks

Not sure what fixing you refer too, knob would simply screw into wall plug.

I'd try to fix the mirror frame to the wall, and add a decorative fixing for the now pointless rope
