Considering my new drainage run is connecting onto existing clay via an adapter, leaving the drainage at the front intact, I would regard the current work I'm doing as a repair.

Sorry Tozzy, but it's notifiable to make sure you've done is right, that's all. A repair would be replacing a piece or two, but you've gone just a little bit past the repair stage.
Bottle Gulley, has an integral trap.
I'll make sure it's all correct then. So what I've decided to do is take the advice what Hugh already provided and redo the part from the IC and adaptor with the fixed parts he suggested which I bought today. But thing is I couldn't manage to get the 45 degree so I'm wondering whether to keep the adjustable there as is or not.

It was good advice, and I meant to throw in a like for him. Follow what he says if you can, and use you're common sense if you can't.

Don't be afraid to ask if you're not sure. Drains do an essential job, often in a harsh environment, they get abused, and are usually forgotten about until something is amiss. A bit of extra time taken at this stage will hopefully guarantee you many years of trouble free service.

Many thanks Hugh. I'll see how I get on. I feel confident regarding the rest of the run where gullies will be installed but I might just need some confirmation nearer the time as to whether anything needs to be altered. I'll be using double socket adjustable bends on those traps to meet the branches simply because I'm happy to use them there and I've already bought them. If you could just just keep a watch on this thread for the time being, I'd deeply appreciate it. It's times like this when you have noone to turn to where you need an expert such as yourself a touch of a button away

As long as you continue the thread, it'll flag up to those who have contributed. Take a look at the Bookmark option, and the inbox as well.
If you need to buy more gullies, go for the bottle gullies. Easier to clean out in event of a problem, and only one joint on the outlet needed.
For rainwater it should be a Marley UG44 & UG47. What you've fitted will result in you cutting the plastic grate & the RW shoe is too low. These gullies are not designed for rainwater. You're clearly not a Plumber but a Grubber.
Always fit Marley & follow their design/installation instructions.
