Which filler for chair repair.. Prior to painting.

I want to paint some old chairs, but see there are a few chips etc on them.

Which filler would be best to repair thrse please?

A friend suggested car body filler as it"s a 2 part product and sets super though and fast too.

I actually have some of that, but surely there is a similar type of product dedigned for wood.

There is and its more expensive. I use body filler on indoor wood thats going to be painted not stained and not had any problems with it falling out 'shrinkage etc

Yes, body filler is easy to finish and still hard enough to withstand knocks. You can buy it as a two-part pack in smallish tubes.

You could try superglue in the hole then sprinkle baking soda on.

Google them, its a good method apparently.
