I think that we are talking about weather..

Way back in the day, it was known as "Global Warming." once it became known that it didn't quite fit the data coming in, they re-named it "Climate Change." So,,, if it gets colder , that's Climate Change,,, If it gets warmer, that too is "Climate Change" A win , win situation for these scientists.

Whatever the weather... it's climate change. Tax payable. Ever noticed how tax is applied? Big 4x4 tax applied. Sports cars tax applied. Any cars banned? Nope. Keep paying and carry on.

yep older commercial vans fined 200 squid if they drive into certain parts of London

Know some young fella who got fined £200 because his VW transporter was 10 years old

commit some violent act , or go shop lifting etc & u would not get that

fly around the world in there private jets to stay in there multiple homes dotted around the world

next time some big I am world leader visits the U.K , they should set an example fly easy jet , get picked up at the air port in a mini or some other low cost car . Push bike may be ???

It would be unusual if the climate wasn't changing - it has since the dawn of time - consider that at one time the UK was a carboniferous swamp, much later to be covered in thick sheets of ice. Can't blame us for that.
What annoys me is the absolute certitude that the 'experts' and their followers have, and that anyone who happens to disagree with them is an idiot.
Members of the IPCC are also on to a good thing, jetting off to exotic locations and cosseted in 5* luxury; what's wrong with video conferencing if they really want to save the planet?

It's two opposing sides though: waste less (because it saves the planet, and is morally , right to do so), vs waste more (because that's where economic "growth" - and increasing the wealth and power of the ruling class - comes from).

Timeframes for those changes and the ones we are now experiencing are a bit different though.

No. And the church is not a scientific organisation and so does not welcome contrary evidence. The IPCC meanwhile, does have scientists who do not believe in AGW.

In fact, while 97% of relevant scientists believe AGW is real, the IPCC are cautious about their predictions, and have in the past underestimated the impact that we'll see, owing to certain pieces of evidence being seen as unreliable at the time.
