Pickup

Hi I need a new pickup for an acoustic guitar.
The guitar has a control unit and battery box
and had an under the saddle pickup.
What type of pick up do I need?
Is there an active and passive type?

this is a new one to me and looks quite a great idea
no power needed and i would think the volume and tones can be set on the amp??

what the OP seems to want is probably a direct active pickup if he has a battery on the guitar, which would feeds into his controls

i spent years mucking about with active and passive pickups but that was on bass...guess its similar
i never had a bass with piezo
