When will it stop?

How many shootings by toddlers have occurred lately in say Norway, UK or France in the last 12 months?

It was more than 1 per week in the US (2015). You are twice as likely to be shot by a toddler than be killed by a terrorist in the US. Dangerous ornaments are guns.

Why do you persist with a logical argument? You need t try some of this.

I'm sure you realise that we can't discuss how to buy guns illegally or make bombs on the internet, but suffice it to say you wouldn't walk in to your local farmer palmer outlet store and ask him for his special under the counter ;) vermin control devices.
No.
But, if you knew for a fact, a group of people were gathering outdoors and you had the perfect vantage point some distance away from the crowds, where you knew that it would be several minutes before the rozzers were able to stop you......if only there were some shops nearby that could sell me something......:?:

In this case the killer put a great deal of effort in to his preparation. I'm specifically arguing in this situation tougher gun control will not stop those who are ready to plan and prepare. Whether they buy a couple of gallons of 40 vol welloxon from Sally's etc. or do a deal with some mac-10 fixin' yardies.

That is really sad, isn't it, plus all the kids getting access to Dad's hand gun etc.. No disputing that easy access to fire arms in a culture "in love" with guns for want of a better phrase, leads to accidental deaths. Though it is on the same lines as, the best way to stop cyclists being killed on our roads is to ban bicycles. The difference of course, is here in the UK we do not see a need to own a gun ad-hoc and that is something very culturally different to the US.

Americans are very blasé when it comes to guns, particularly hand guns, a lot of states will almost automatically allow a gun to be carried or give a permit to carry, with minimal requirements.

I agree with motorbiking, the best way to reduce gun deaths is to ban guns.

OK so we ban guns.

This is called 'PROHIBITION'.

Lets see if we can break Google by asking the internets for 1x instance where any kind of prohibition has been succesful.

but that's government policy on drugs, and it works fine.

Doesn't it?

The proof is out there in the stats, reducing the number of guns reduces gun deaths. Zero guns would be a good goal.

A complete gun ban in the US would be impossible to enforce. There are something like 300 million guns in America.

a continuous programme to toughen gun sales and ownership has to be taken.

Pro gun Trump wont be doing much though

It's their country. They can do what they want.

The trouble is they keep interfering in the rest of the world with that very same attitude

Why not gradually reduce the supply of ammunition and ammunition making materials.. until the guns are about as much use as a rock ?
