Hi folks,

We have recently purchased a fairly old house (1906), and have high chamfered square skirting boards:

I was wondering if anyone knows where I may find a suitable off the shelf replacement or can recommend a company that may do a custom style for us?

Thanks in advance

If you only need small sections should be very easy to match with mdf cut to size and chamfered.

I got a load of architrave made and it was expensive. Looking back I'd have replaced the whole lot with new as it would have saved stripping and sanding the old stuff......and the company I dealt with was a PITA..!

Standard pattern available from most timber or building suppliers. Various heights are available.
One random example: https://www.buildbase.co.uk/19x100145x945th-prem-100008801-2825835

In terms of age it's more like 2006 rather than 1906.

Thanks for the help. I've literally taken a section to wickes, b&q, howarth building and numerous other no-one has the same height skirting, I agree it's a common shape but the dimensions are all different to that of standard 'stock'

It was probably standard in 2009. They're always changing suppliers, or modifying dimensions a bit to encourage obsolescence. It's not hard to chamfer your own bit of wood/MDF with a plane.
