Thinking of buying some land , HELP !

So I'll keep it short and sweet, I'm thinking of buying some cheap farming/grazing land as I'm wanting to build a workshop/barn. I have been told that planning consent is not needed in some cases if you keep animals, horses etc. I work as a traditional builder and would want to build a wooden clad barn. I have no intention of making it habitable and would sheers you want it for working etc. If you guys could shed some light on this is would be great

I had an uncle who used this word. He used it to say things like "that's sheerly the worst pint I've ever drank"... it's just another way of saying "absolutely" or "utterly". Old word I think.

Can he build a barn on agricultural land, with absolutely no intention of constructing a bungalow inside it?

There is a general permitted development right to build a building for agricultural use. The land must be agricultural, and the building must be related to the use of the land and there are other conditions too. There might be a prior notification procedure for certain areas.

You have to prove you are running an agriculture business and making enough money for it to be reasonable that its necessary for the business.
