Is .75mm 5 Core Cable OK For Domestic CH Pump?

I'm upgrading the controls on my old ch system to S-Plan. I will be running the new cables in .75mm heat resistant cable. Is the .75mm cable ok to run the power to the pump, or does it need something more heavy duty?

I would say yes. The pump is only a few watts.

It’s a BS table anyway. I wouldn’t worry about it

But that is only partly of interest - the size of the fuse that will be protecting the cable is more important.

Bear in mind that when aptsys said "it's OK, only a few watts", that was before the 3A fuse had been stated. It wouldn't matter if the load was only a couple of watts (as is the case with motorised valves) - the cable has to be rated to suit the fuse in the supply.

Not necessarily - but it is a CH system and it was verified in post #4.
