It should be about 0.7 when cold; at 1.5 cold, it could well go to 2.2 or higher when hot, and that's not good for it.

The Worcester website definitely says 1.0-1.5 when cold. The guage drops slightly when the heating comes on then slowly rises to just over 1.5 (i think so don't quote me as I haven't really looked to closely)

Not usually unless the boiler is in the loft or something. Pump could take off .3, so then you only have around 4m height before it starts pulling in air at the top.

FFS: PRV is set to lift at 3 bar! Unless system hits that - hot or cold - it won’t lift unless faulty and that’s where overpressure is meant to go!

I'll make it simpler then, 0.7bar isn't usually enough unless the pressure guage is near the top of the system. If the guage is at the top of the system, no problem.

I know it's a closed system, what difference does that make? And the pump creates a difference in head, that's how it moves water.
