You're going to need to read a bit more of it than that. Article 1, 2 and IX and X in full would help you enormously - Do you not think the COBR team would have taken expert legal advice? Article X covers use not IX. Have a read.

People keep quoting the 10 day time limit for a request, but if you read it - you can see its scope https://www.opcw.org/fileadmin/OPCW/CWC/CWC_en.pdf
ARTICLE IX p44, isn't about being held to account for the use of a bio/chem weapon, but specifically about the development, stockpiling or destruction of such. The government's demand to account has nothing to do with article IX, para 2, its about accounting to the attempted murder of a person using a very rare military grade weapon that is only known to have been developed in Russia. Its irrelevant that its a bio/chem weapon.

This is not 10 days to account for a crime, but up to 10 days (and as soon as possible) to answer information requested regarding the destruction, stockpiling, development etc.

This is an excellent (and yet another) perfect example of the Russian policy of spreading misinformation and fake news.

The worrying thing is just how many people have latched on to it as fact, and despite not even knowing of the protocol prior to one week ago - it's existence let alone it's application and procedures, some people are now siding with the Russians against their own country - the very country attacked by the Russians.

of course they can and do

It may be fair to make a moral case for being critical of the Tory government as regards donations, but that is different to suggesting donations did not compky with the rules.

Donations to political parties can only be made by individuals who are on the electoral register or UK companies that are registered, incorporated in the European Union and are trading in the UK

its not "if thats the case"......IT IS THE CASE....The Tories took £820,000 last year from Russian Donors, can you imagine the outcry if that was Corbyn??.... Corbyn was on his own when he opposed the invasion of Iraq due to claims of them of having weapons of mass destruction.....history proved him right
Political parties shouldn't be allowed to take money from any private sources as it corrupts the democratic process.
Tony Blair made Lord levy his private Middle East envoy which meant he was accountable only to Blair and not Parliament,in return the Labour party received milliions channelled into the party from Zionist sources.
It is no coincidence that Blair pushed for war in Iraq ,a war which Israel had been lobbying for.
Money from any private source Russian or otherwise should be banned.

I agree.

Especially the EU, which receives vast sums from lobbyist companies.

It's not siding with the Russians against their own country it's the British public being rightfully suspicious of their own government.

How many times have we been lied to by them? WMD in Iraq?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Show me hard evidence Russia did this and I'll reconsider.

Sorry woody but I don't agree with you on this one.

I had my doubts also, but France, Germany, US and NATO agree. My thinking is that this is Russia's attempt to see how united NATO is and given we are leaving the EU and have plenty of "wanted" Russian Ex pats, why not probe our resolve.

I contextualised the comments to show that banjodeano did not say what you claimed he had said, therefore he did not quote anything out of context.
Quite the reverse, you misappropriated a comment of his to claim it was out of context. In reality you had misunderstood his comment, and misinterpreted it.
Get it now?

no o_Oo_O

doggit, mightyblob, a.j something or other, hawkeye, little elf, a**e end , gasbag:rolleyes:

doggit left after being exposed as a fraud,
mightyblob left because she liked to be abusive but could accept any abuse in return,
Aj something or other has never made a sensible contribution.
hawkeye with the scabby nose, and preaches illegal practices, has difficulty with social interactions but does not know why,
a**e end the pathological liar, who claims to be disabled,
gasbag the racist that is desperately trying to prove that he is not,
little elfi refuses to engage in discussion for his own reasons, but fair play to him, he does not seem to suffer the inadequacies or afflictions of the others, although he does like his pedantics,

Yes, definitely a badge of honour for them to pretend to be ignoring me. :ROFLMAO:

so apart from all of that every thing is O.K then way r bee :LOL:

more then 30 labour MPs have now signed a motion supporting the goverment's stance on this Russian caper. Following corbyns refiusal to blame the Russian state :)

The chemical nerve agent may have been disguised as a gift , that was brought into the country by his daughter ?? and was planted in her luggage whilst she was still in Russia ??????

For what purpose?

War ?

Why?

I read that the nerve agent could have been developed as far back as the 80s under the old soviet regime, which was vast, and spanned many different countries. When the regime fell many of these labs were left to fend for themselves, and a lot of nerve agent ended up never being used, and loads of it.

may be so .

But one opinion is that his daughter brought it into the UK ? so if that was the case ? what was his daughters movements prior to coming to the UK ?

doubt if she went out side of Russia ? so if they are correct ? then who else has this nerve agent may well be irrelevant ?

If the above can be proved then its the russian state / Putin ??
