You must know what traits are associated to autism and how those (mild or otherwise) manifest or reveal themselves in people.
I thought it was a good answer and just about the only one there is.

Would you suggest it is necessary to have a word for those who are NOT something?
That's how atheist came into being but it is an unnecessary word first used as a supposed insult by theists who thought it important.

Not autistic - I get. I don't get 'the opposite of' though.
The poster said the 'opposite' of. I'm assuming the fellow knows a thing or two about autistic traits perhaps.....? Maybe he just made it up on the spur and knows very little about autism.
