Recommended flexible 1/2" hose/pipe for water

Hi. I've got a temporary situation with the water feeding my toilet. I'm using a length of 1/2" garden hose, but it's springing leaks, so I'm having to turn water on and off as needed. Seems the hose is not meant to handle the constant water pressure. I'd like to replace this flexible hose with a product that is able to take the constant water pressure. Must be pretty flexible like the garden hose I'm using. Can anyone please recommend a product. Must be 1/2" to fit the connections at each end. Thank you. Rich

P.S. I'm using HozeLock connectors at each end.

Thanks. Aaah, yes, that's probably what I should have been selecting when I first put in the temporary arrangement. Screewfix do flexible hose up to 1.5M. I need 2.5m. I notice you can get washing machine hose of 2.5m length. Maybe that's what I'll end up getting.

P.S. In fact, I'm minded to get washing machine hose, unless anyone raises an issue as to why not. Rich

Just make sure you get the blue hose not the red one

Rich, the washing machine hoses have a 3/4" female thread at each end so may not be suitable to meet your requirements.

Having said that, the Hoselock fittings are usually 3/4" too so maybe you have bushes to convert them to your desired 1/2".

washing machine hose is quite a good idea though. You can buy a pair of washing machine taps quite cheaply (at a pinch, I've used radiator valves with that size union) and a compression joint, which with some luck will fit your existing olives and nuts, or as Ian says, there may be a Hozelock fitting. The brass ones are much safer than the plastic.

I paid £4.49 which includes postage, for a 2.5m washing machine / dishwasher inlet pipe (blue). Works fab. Fitted both ends. I wish I had realised not to use regular garden hosepipe for use with constant water pressure. Gave me grief. Anyway, sorted now.

great result but consider using materials designed for the job in question.
