You cannot tell the difference between ridiculing, critising and insulting someone, and defending another's right to speak.

Gasbag is an extreme right wing proponent of false news, edited videos from suspect sites, and extreme right wing opinions.
He might get away with his constant barrage of extremism on cc forum, but some of us are fed up with his extremism.
If you did not know the difference between extremists and terrorists, you do now.
But then donkeys are not very clever, except at trolling. They seem to take a delight in trolling.

Tell me, when I am as nasty and personally insulting over people's names, intelligence and call all and sundry a racist or a bigot, then you may have a point.
Until then, you come over as a hypocrite.
In the mean time, please learn what is insulting and what isn't, you seem to have trouble with it, just like understanding what is racist or not, or defending the right to speak and condoning what they have to say.

When you defend mine, or yafo's or ellal's right to speak without insults, I might accept your argument.
But as you only ever defend gasbag's, a**e end's or eeyore's opinions, I will reserve my judgement.
Think to yourself, why did you get involved in this discussion........ because yafo disagreed with gasbag, and for no other reason!
You might think you are defending the right to speak, but you are blatantly defending their opinions.

You can see that I have disagreed with Gas opinions. You've even 'liked' my comments. The difference is that I do not feel the need to shut down the conversation by calling them racist or telling them they shouldn't be given an audience.
As I said, please learn the difference between defending someone's right to speak and agreeing with what they say.
None of the above speak without insults, so theres nothing to defend.
All of those were aimed at me. It might be called intimidation. I call it very rude and personal, and very 1 sided. But I'm big enough to take it, and smile. A very 1 sided opinion is not 1 that bothers me.
But none of those comments were racist, extremist, or even terrorist based, so he has as much right to free speech as anybody else.
But when free speech becomes hate speech I see a difference. Obviously others only see what they want.
Both notch and sodit want to have a go at me and my comments , every time, without fail.
I take it as a badge of pride that they hate me so much. Happy to help them get their fun.
But don't make me laugh boys when you defend extremism and racism as free speech.

As soon as people slam down other people's voices with calling them racists, bigots or whatever, the discussion is over. Nothing changes. You cannot ridicule or belittle someone into changing their political or race viewpoints.

You persistently defend gasbag's offensive, racist, hate-filled comments, on the basis of defending his right to an opinion.
Yet you are defending that right by shouting down his critics, and being unpleasant in the process.
You cannot morally and reasonably defend one's right to be offensive, by shouting down, trying to deny their critics the same right of opinion.
Your argument is incompatible with reason, not to mention morality.
You are either deceiving yourself, and honestly do not understand your dichotomy, possibly acting in blind loyalty, irrespective of the message.
Or you are trying to deceive the forum into believing you are defending freedom of speech. If you are defending freedom of speech, you must defend the offensive post, and the criticism (i.e yafo's comment) of that offensive post. So I ask again, why are you commenting in this thread?
It would appear you are defending gasbag out of blind loyalty, irrespective of his offensive comments, and you have not realised your duplicity.
You do not realise that your one-sided defence of "right to an opinion" can only be interpreted as supporting his opinion.

In addition, many posters opposing such extreme right-wing hate-filled posts have come and gone, himmagin (we know was banned), walkswithturkeys, immartian, roguehanger, and probably many more.
Yet gasbag and a**e end are allowed to continue posting their extreme right-wing comments without hindrance, for more than ten years.
One can only deduce it is because they are a protected species and/or the mods are sympathetic to their right-wing views.
