Why are we even in this position? Where are these deals with the EU that we were prooised? Were we not told the EU would be breaking its back to do a deal? It needs us ? Needs to keep us happy ?

And when that happens in domestic affairs, at th next election people get the chance to say "We didn't get what you said we would - **** off".

But with an upheaval so major that even it's most ardent cheerleaders say that it will be, literally, generations before we are better off for doing it, the position is "the people have spoken, and it would be undemocratic to check if they are still sure".

It is almost entirely the leavers who are scared of a second vote, and we all know why.

I agree. If they were clever they would have put some effort in before the referendum to make sure they won, how hard could it be to educate a few ‘dumb quitters’?
