Best way to catch a rat?

My friend of many decades has hunted vermin most of his life. He runs a pest control firm, amongst others. It always astonishes me how he can deal with the carcasses of animals without the least bit of squeamishness. We enjoyed Venison fillets at his gaffe last Saturday, cooked to perfection. Nothing more tender and lean than a wild animal reared on the fresh shoots of pine tree saplings.
I'd like to do that for a living. "Right between the eyes". Such fun!
Living near the canal as a kid, used to get occasional rats in the garden. Great times shooting them, weihrauch hw77k.
I miss that superb piece of engineering.

I had Weihrauch HW80, it too was a great gun.
I showed it to my mate who searched all over Edinburgh for the same gun.
The next time he came to my house to show off his new second hand gun and, to play guns with me, when we compared them we discoved that the serial number on his was consecutive to mine.
What are the chances of that!
