Only around 35 squ m , cost me £100 a tonne , delivered as salvage .
Did real well , saved £1000s here
Was in fact salvage and probably not as reclaimed would expect

Suppose the big "trick" will be to find a "source" of reasonable / good condition cobbles?

My son lives in Glasgow the street adjacent to where he resides is cobbles [or Setts as we call them up here] many of them are in good condition and will lift out easily and cleanly, as seen in a recent installation of new fiber optic cabling

The firm who have installed the fiber have re-installed the cobbles / setts using "whin dust" which [what up here it is called] it is pulverized Basalt safer than using hot bitumen or its modern equivalent? and cheaper???

A complete travesity of what at one time was / still is, or should be a professional trade?

Yes to be able to achieve the standard I wanted , my supplier was very helpful allowing me to return to swap stones etc .
The big trick is finding people with £400 a squ to spend on a driveway .
Even the £7M homes few miles from here only have 4 rows of setts to break from the footway and 2 rows around the borders .
200 m squ drive would be £80k .
I only have it because I did it diy ?

A few machines , a proper set up with help , a supply of" clean" stones guessing it could be done commercially to carraigeway spec for less than £300 a squ .Maybe a lot less , was the figures I was getting , cheaper than the pointing ..
I know with my old box building team would of murdered it in a fraction of the time .
