A man who thinks, or feels, he is a woman- and vice versa - thinks being the operative term - is regarded as having the wrong body and steps are taken to correct the situation. Fair enough, I suppose, as we are a caring society, although it is extremely expensive, and there is a huge lobby promoting such things.
Of course, other similar problems are not viewed with any sympathy at all, but are in fact demonised.

What i find more worrying is how many kids are being sent to gender re assignment clinics and psychologists from an early age.

You're born either male or female and that's what you will always be. The ze and zir business comes from a crazy minority and should not be indulged or forced upon the rest of the population, and certainly not upon children, who can be easily persuaded to believe anything.

The so-called illnesses that go with this nonsense should be laughed out of any doctor's surgery, and only exist because welfare payments can be claimed for them.

When archaeologists dig up human bones from hundreds of years ago, they can only determine whether the person was male or female - there are no other sexes. Oh, and sex is the word to indicate whether one is male or female; NOT gender. Gender is a grammatical term to do with nouns; some nouns are masculine, some feminine. Using the word gender instead of sex is part of the political manipulation of the English language foisted upon us by Tony Blair.

Its very wrong.
I feel the protection of children of children comes first, so it must be safer to prevent any form of non reversible treatment until a reasonable age.

I realise there are some children that do know from an early age and there is risk of psychological damage.

I don't know if there's been any success yet. But the medical profession must be confident of the success of the treatment.
