So I posted this question on this forum a few months ago but it still has not been fixed.
There’s been a sound coming from my boiler which is apparently not fixable. I have been told by a plumber that it is due to condensation from the cold weather? sounds like bs, but is it correct? I’m not sure exactly what boiler it is at I live with my mum and it’s hers but it’s a combi if that helps.

Here’s the video:

Surely there is something that can be done? it never used to make this sound.
Many thanks

Mine was making a similar sound but it might have been kettling. It started about 20 seconds after it had fired up each time. Was working fine but at 25 years old (the boiler, not me!) I cut my losses and replaced it last year.

Thanks for the response. I hope a plumber would have been able to tell if it was kettling or not otherwise I’d be worried. I’m not sure how long the sound starts after firing up, but very soon after and lasts until I turn it off. Mines about 6 years old so not sure

it is certainly repairable and is definitely not condensation, post a proper picture of the boilers control panel and we should be able to identify the make and model and possibly help you further
