Hi. I have got a few niggles with my alarm one of them being zone 2 is timed and want to change it to set the alarm off and the other is a link wire has been put in on the external siren and when its removed it put a fault up but when its in the alarm works fine apart from the zone 2 thing. The last thing is i am thinking of changing it all to the G4 system how easy would this be. Thanks

If the wire is across OV and TR could be a problem with bell box.
A control panel change is possible but depends on your day skills and how well you understand the installation manual.

I will have a look what is linked but I do have a new one to be fitted. My day skills are not too bad once I get my head around it.
It’s linked between t and a with scb written under it.
In other words your bell box has no tamper indication to the control panel ...
Rite ok so the bell box is not broken than.
Maybe ....
It does ring and flash when it goes off but if memeory serves me rite the tamper switch in there is bypassed too as it does not sit flush to the wall.

When tamp returns are linked out generally possible problem with bell box.
Faulty tamper switch,not sitting on wall correctly ,tamper switch not adjusted correctly, bell box not wired correctly, all of the above could apply.

Yer that's about rite i have got a Ade 8Ep420 bell box to replace the one i have got on there but i am going to put it on the flat of the wall and take the link out
