Anyone been to the Monaco F1?

As above, I'm thinking of going to see the Monaco F1 this year. There seems to be so many places online selling tickets and I don't want to get there only to find out that I've been sold duds. Any suggestions/past experience? Hoping to fly out and come back same day. Any advice on this trip would be welcome.

it’s a great experience but i can’t advise who to get tickets from as mine were all corporate jollies

I’ve used GooTickets for the Belgium GP before and all was fine.

Assume you’ll fly into Nice and get the train across. You’ll probably find it expensive to do on GP day alone though.

Half-decent tickets seem to be around the £550-£600 mark and same day flights around the £250 mark. Never been to one - been promising myself for years and will probably take my son. Not gonna be cheap I know but sod it, you only live once. Just didn't want to get over there and find out I've been scammed for tickets.

Monaco ? the acual race must be the most boring grand prix on the calendar ??

who ever gets pole & assuming they do not breakdown will most likely win the race ?

If u are very very lucky ? there may be an over take in the race ?

I've been to a few F1 races - forget the race its so loud and pointless - as a spectacle it's crap but you go more for meeting up with like minded sports fans.

For a completely different race day experience. Get the IoW ferry on foot, 29th of June and watch the Round the Island Yacht race. If you get the early ferry you'll see the start and by the time to slow/old boats have started the leader classes will be rounding for home. Great day out, party atmosphere and change from 50 quid.
